====Question or Symptom====
This article describes how to filter incoming mail messages in Outlook
Express version 4.5 on the Macintosh.

====Resolution====
Start Outlook Express, then go to the Tools menu and select Mail Rules.
In the Rules window click on New Rule.
Enter a comment in the Rule Name field (e.g. "Block mail from Bob")
Check the "Apply to Incoming" box.
Under "Criteria" select "From" in the pull-down menu.
Select "Contains" in the next pull-down menu.
Type the email address you want to block (e.g. "bob@swcp.com")
Under "Actions" select "Move Message" in the "Action 1" pull-down.
In the new pull-down meu that appears to the right of this, select
"Deleted Messages" (or another folder of your choosing).
Click OK.

Now when any message comes in from the address bob@swcp.com, it will
automatically be dropped in the Deleted Messages folder.
