Once you find the .obm directory, there will be a subdirectory called "log".  The easiest thing to do is zip that directory into a file.  Right-click on the log directory, select "Send To", and then "Compressed (zipped) directory".  That should create a file called log.zip in the .obm directory.  Email that file to help@swcp.com as an attachment.

The BUS client keeps a log of everything it does. Occasionally an issue comes up that requires seeing the BUS client's log file to solve. Here's how to send the BUS logs to tech support.

Find the log directory

BUS Client version 8 and later

  • For Desktop BUS plans, we're looking for a folder called .acb. For Server users, it's .obm. Look in the home directory of the person who installed the software. For example, on a Windows system it will be C:\Users\johnsmith (where "johnsmith" is your username)

BUS Client version 6 and earlier

  • Same as the newer version, but the folder will be .obm regardless of plan.

Send the logs to SWCP

Once you find the .obm or .acb directory, there will be a subdirectory called "log". The easiest thing to do is zip that directory into a file. Right-click on the log directory, select "Send To", and then "Compressed (zipped) directory". That should create a file called log.zip in the .obm directory. Email that file to help@swcp.com as an attachment.
