How do I reset a password in MediaWiki?

This is for the extreme case where you've lost your admin password.

You'll need to use phpMyadmin or mysql at the command line to specify the following command:

 UPDATE user SET user_password =
 md5(CONCAT('123-',md5('newpassword'))) WHERE user_id=123;

 Where 123 is the user_id of the person you need to reset. The salt (first part of
 the CONCAT command) is the user_id followed by a dash. This is important!
