Question or Symptom

Any tips or suggestions on getting connected to the Internet from Europe, China, etc?

Resolution

If you're traveling with a laptop, take a look at our iPass information. iPass is a company that we partner with to provide international roaming support. You'll need to download an iPass client and you should try it out before you leave. More information can be found at http://www.swcp.com/swcp/iPass/

Many hotels, inns, and pensions have a computer with internet access set up for you to check your email. This is a shared machine so you should be careful what you use it for. I wouldn't use it for financial transactions like paying bills from you bank, etc, and I'd probably change my email password when I got back.

Also, you'll find lots of useful information on power and phone adaptors at http://www.teleadaptusa.com. They're a company that specializes in equipment for travel, and they have an excellent information on what kind of adaptors you'll need in various countries.
