How do I get NiftyTelnet 1.1 R3 to use SSH?

Question or Symptom

I've downloaded the version of Niftytelnet that was supposed to have SSH support but when I connect it's using a regular telnet connection. Why?


Resolution

What you'll need to do is create a shortcut and edit it. Select "Open Connection" from the File menu, type in "ssh.swcp.com" for the machine name, then press the New button. Protocol will be specified as "Telnet" by default. Select SSH-Blowfish. Fill in the hostname field as "ssh.swcp.com", and the shortcut name as "ssh.swcp.com". Press the OK button. You should now have a shortcut named ssh.swcp.com. Select it and hit "connect". This will be using SSH now. 

 KB 133 What's this about telnet going away? Being replaced by SSH?
