How do I uninstall Putty?
Article:139 Created:2001-11-10 12:18:58 Categories: Windows 98 Windows NT 4 Windows 2000 Security SSH
Question or Symptom
I'm having some configuration issues with Putty and I'd like to uninstall it and start over, but I haven't found the configuration files.
Resolution
putty -cleanup will "uninstall" it. There is no 'program install' per se, it is just an executable and uses a registry entry to store things that would usually be in ~/.ssh.
The key in question is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY
