Question or Symptom

Connected just fine the 1st time. Have 2 new icons on my desktop. One for SWCP which has my PPP login and password. It works fine. The other icon is for Netscape. When I click it without 1st connecting via the SWCP icon, it brings up a connection window that has old dial-up settings I sometimes use to a computer at work. They're stored in an old icon I have on my desktop. So my question is, how can I configure Netscape to use the SWCP dial-up settings by default instead of the other old one that was already on my system? I thought maybe there would be a preference setting in Netscape to use a certain dial-up, but I don't see it.

Resolution

If you're using Win98, go to the Control Panel, select Internet Options, and select the "Connections" tab. There should be entries there for the different dialup profiles, and you can select the one you want to use by default. Let us know if that doesn't do the trick.
