How do I set up a dial up connection under MacOS X?

Go to System Preferences, select Network. On the Location pull-down, select New Location, and name it "Home Dialup" for example.

The Show pull-down should have your modem selected.

On the TCP/IP tab:

     Select Configure: Using PPP

On the PPP tab:

           Service Provider	SWCP
           Telephone Number	938-1410
           Alternate Number	998-5999
Account Name	Your "P" account user name
Account Password	Your "P" account password

Click the PPP Options button. Turn on the "Connect automatically..." option, click OK.

Click the Apply Now button.

To dial manually, start Internet Connect (in the Applications folder).
