BUS Backup Schedule for Laptops
There's a feature called "Extra Backups" that is geared toward laptops. You specify an "interval" (such as 1 day, 1 week, etc.). If the interval has passed without a backup happening, it will start a backup. It's good for laptops since they're not always connected someplace that would be good for doing a backup, but it also works for PCs that are only on part of the day.
You can optionally have it pop up an alert (and chance to cancel) when the backup starts.
To use this feature: in the BUS client, select a BackupSet, one of the options on the left side of the screen, near the bottom of the list, is "Extra Backup". Click the checkbox to enable "Offline Backup" (not the best name for this feature!) Then select the interval, and how long it should go before emailing you a warning. (The defaults are: 1-day interval, and 1 week of no backup before sending a warning).
NOTE: This feature is currently only available in the Windows backup client. We expect it to be available for Macs soon.
