Question or Symptom

Ever wonder how to get your email client to display the full headers of a particular message? These might help...

Resolution

Eudora 3.1 (light) - Open the message, click on the "BLAH BLAH BLAH" button in the upper left corner of the message.

Eudora 5 - Open the message, click on the "BLAH BLAH BLAH" button in the upper left corner of the message.

MacMail (OS-X) - # Select the message, select menu item View, Show, Raw Source (or you can use option-apple-U as a keyboard shortcut).

Mozilla - Open the message, click on View, click on Headers, click on All

Netscape Mail 4.78 - Open the message, click on View, click on Headers, click on All

Netscape 7.0 - Open the message, click on View, click on Headers, click on All

Outlook 98 and 2000 - Open a new message addressed to help@swcp.com, then open the message in a separate window (double click), Click on View, select Options, copy the text in the Internet Headers window (unfortunately it doesn't include the message itself) and past this into the message addressed to us.

Outlook Express 4, 5, 6 - Click the "File" menu, click "Properties", click the "Details" tab, click "Message Source"

Outlook Express for Macintosh - Select the email. From the View menu, choose Source. A new window will appear containing the email with full headers.

PegasusMail v4 - In the New Mail or other folder window:

  1. Right click the message, and select Message Properties.
  2. In the right hand column uncheck the box beside Contains HTML data.
  3. Click OK. That should allow you to see the message as a text message only.
  4. Click Ctrl-H to bring up the full headers.
