I need help setting up my QWest DSL connection.

Question or Symptom

I just got QWest DSL installed and I've got an Intel 2110 card installed. Now I need to get the answer to a bunch of installation questions.

Resolution

The installation wizard for the Intel 2110 DSL router card will need to know the following:

  Connection Type:       Point-to-point (PPP)
  Dynamic or Static IP?  Dynamic
  Static IP Address:     Not needed, you'll be getting a dynamic IP address.
  Name Server Dynamic or Static?  Dynamic
  Primary Name Server:   Not needed, you'll be getting the name servers dynamically
  Secondary Name Server: same as above.
  Incoming Mail Server:  mail.swcp.com
  Outgoing Mail Server:  mail.swcp.com
  News Server:           news.swcp.com
  Login name:            youremailaccount@swcp.com
    Note: the @swcp.com is important!
  Password:              password_for_your_email_account
 
    Note: the P account isn't used here. It's strictly for dialup use.
