How do I configure Microsoft Outlook for E-mail?

Resolution

How to configure Outlook Email on a Windows system.

First, run Outlook. Then click on the Tools menu and select Services. Make sure that "Internet Mail" is installed (if not click Add, then "Internet Mail", then press OK).

Next click on Properties and enter your email account information:

       Name                For example "Margaret Wilson"
       E-mail address      For example, mwilson@swcp.com
       Mail server         mail.swcp.com
       Account name        Your email login name.  Note, this is the
                           login name which does *not* start with
                           a capital 'P'.  Continuing the example
                           above, Margaret's account name is "mwilson".
       Your password       Enter the password for your email account.
 

Next select the Connection tab and click on "Connect to the ineternet using a modem." Then select SWCP's connection from the dialog box below. This tells outlook that it should dial SWCP when it is time to deliver email messages.

Press OK, exit and then restart Outlook. Now you're ready to be use Outlook. You can click on Tools then select "Check for New Mail" to download your email messages.
