Can I use the Qwest internal DSL modem with Windows XP?

Question or Symptom

I'd like to upgrade to Windows XP, but I have an internal DSL modem and I've heard that might be a problem.

Resolution

Our original information was: "The Intel Internal PCI DSL modems from Qwest are not supported under Microsoft Windows XP yet. If you have XP on a new computer, or upgrade your computer to XP, you will not be able to get your Qwest DSL service to work with the internal modem. Qwest is working on a fix for this, but for now it is a problem. (Nov 13, 2001)"
