I've upgraded to Windows XP and I'm getting an error message from iPass?

Question or Symptom

I'm getting a long error message titled "iPass SQM Agent". It starts out Thruput.exe 2.34 Usage thruput [-b|-s|-h <URL> -e <error_code> -u <"USERID">]

Resolution

Thruput.exe is part of iPass's monitoring system. They use this to collect modem speeds and connection stability information when you use iPassConnect. It isn't a necessary part of iPass so if you just click "OK" on the error message you should be able to go on and use the connection as you normally would. The current version of the iPassConnect software has this problem fixed. Please download the latest version of the software from our web site: ftp://ftp.swcp.com/iPass/SWCP_iPC_v330.exe

After upgrading be sure to test the software locally and download the latest phonebook. The phonebook bundled with the software won't be the latest one.
