How do I access my mail without having to put the password in each time?

Question or Symptom

I've upgraded to Netscape 4.75 on a Mac. Now when I'm checking email I have to specify my password each time. How do I access my mail without having to put the password in each time?

Resolution

To get Netscape to save your email password.

Open Netscape and open the messenger portion. Now click on 'Edit', go down to 'Preferences'. Under 'Mail & Newsgroups' select 'Mail Servers'. Under the 'Incoming Mail Servers' section select the listing there and click on 'Edit'. Now put a check in 'Remember password' Hit 'OK' then 'OK'.

Next time you enter the password it should hold.
