Get rid of "Connect To" dialog in Win 95/98

Question or Symptom

How do I get Win95/98 to connect to the Internet without bringing up the "Connect To" dialog box?

Resolution

      This setting is a little bit hard to find. Open My Computer, then
      Dialup Networking (but don't open the SWCP connectoid yet). Choose
      Connections -> Settings. Select "when establishing a network
      connection, don't prompt to use dial-up networking". It should
      then skip the "Connect To" dialog when you start a connection.
