If you have more than one email address, you may sometimes wish to change the From: setting on email you send. For example, if you normally go by sally@superwidgets.com but you want to send an email in your role as the company treasurer, you want to use your treasurer@superwidgets.com identity. Here is how to do that in RoundCube.

  • 1. Log into Roundcube, click the "Settings" option (the "Light Switch" Icon, at the top of the window)
  • 2. Click the "Identities" tab
  • 3. The box on the left site probably only has one address listed. Click the "+" at the bottom of the box to add a new identity.
  • 4. Enter your name in the Display Name field, and the alternate email address in the Email field. You can optionally fill in the other fields or leave them blank.
  • 5. Click "Save" to save the new identity, and verify that you now see the new identity listed in the box on the left.
  • 6. Click the "Mail" icon to go back to your inbox and send a new message. Now the "From" field will have a pull-down menu that you can use to select your alternate identity. You can add as many identities as you wish.
