Using Multiple Identities in RoundCube Mail
From SWCP Support Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search
If you have more than one email address, you may sometimes wish to change the From: setting on email you send. For example, if you normally go by sally@superwidgets.com but you want to send an email in your role as the company treasurer, you want to use your treasurer@superwidgets.com identity. Here is how to do that in RoundCube.
- 1. Log into Roundcube, click the "Settings" option (the "Light Switch" Icon, at the top of the window)
- 2. Click the "Identities" tab
- 3. The box on the left site probably only has one address listed. Click the "+" at the bottom of the box to add a new identity.
- 4. Enter your name in the Display Name field, and the alternate email address in the Email field. You can optionally fill in the other fields or leave them blank.
- 5. Click "Save" to save the new identity, and verify that you now see the new identity listed in the box on the left.
- 6. Click the "Mail" icon to go back to your inbox and send a new message. Now the "From" field will have a pull-down menu that you can use to select your alternate identity. You can add as many identities as you wish.
